Brain tumours range from slow-growing benign tumours such as meningiomas and pituitary adenomas to malignant tumours such as gliomas and metastases. Symptoms depend on location and can include headaches, seizures, weakness, changes in vision or speech, and personality changes.
Our neurosurgeons treat the full range of brain tumours in adults and children. Surgery is planned with high-resolution MRI and performed with an operating microscope in a modular neuro-theatre, aiming to remove as much tumour as safely possible while protecting healthy brain. Patients are then guided through further treatment such as radiotherapy or chemotherapy where needed.
